Preview: The Mickey Mouse Club (4-2) vs. The Devil Dogs (4-2)

Matchup breakdown by Football Fanatics Inc.

The QB's: The "MMC" is starting the impressive Marc Bulger who is facing the Packers. This will be a shootout and the points are going to ring up like an olde-time register gone beserk! Bulger could definitely put up some major points this week. The "DD" are going with the hot hand in Trent Green who put up 34 points last week. He is playing against the hated rivals, the Raiders, and he has revenge on his mind from last years trouncing on Monday Night Football at the hands of the Black & Silver. Unfortunately this year's version of the Raiders is merely a ghost of the 2002 Superbowl squad and this might well turn out to be the Priest Holmes Show.

Advantage: Mickey Mouse Club

The WR's: The Dogs are going with their high profile, yet underachieving veterans...Joe Horn and Koren Robinson. This week is their chance to get their seasons' back on track vs two of the worst defenses in the NFL, the lowly Falcons, who can't stop anybody but themselves, and the miserable Bears who always find a way to lose in embarrassing style. Mickey's gang is going with a first-time starter in Bobby Shaw and the underrated Chad Johnson who has quietly crept into the WR Top Ten standings. Shaw will be put to the test when he faces all-pro Champ Bailey and Fred Smoot in the Redskin's defensive backfield and Johnson gets the unenviable task of taking on that staunch Baltimore defense.

Advantage: Devil Dogs

The RB's: Priest Holmes vs Oakland's 31st ranked run defense on Monday night and Willie Green's opponent is the 26th ranked run "D" of the Chargers? Are you kidding me? There are lots of points just waiting to to light up the scoreboards here folks! The Mouseketeers will try to counter with the talented tandem of Ahman Green and Tiki Barber. Green is visiting the Rams and should find some running room in what is sure to be a sure to be a barnburner of a game. I hope the St. Louis scorekeeper has been working out! On the other hand, Barber has been struggling as of late and can't seem to hang onto the ball. He will play host to a very tough Philly defense who's excellent play has been overshadowed by the the team's offensive woes. With Collins playing like a junior college QB, the Eagle's will stack up to stop Barber.

Advantage: Devil Dogs

The TE's: Jeremy Shockey has been putting up WR-like yardage, but only has one TD this season. He's not practiced at all this week due to an injured foot which has been hampering him the last 2 weeks. He should still get his yards but may have to stay home to help block against the ferocious rush of the Eagle's defensive front in the red zone. McMichael is averaging a middle of the pack 36 yards per game and has only one TD this year as well. He gets a lot of looks in the redzone and could score this weekend.

Advantage: Draw

The Kicker's: Kickers are just that...kickers and nothing more. Six to ten points is about all you can expect from this position and both Gramatica and Brown should put up decent numbers this week. Unfortunately for both teams, neither Brown or Automatica will be a difference maker. Just goes with the territory....a kicker's territory that is. Tampa Bay's offense may stall a bit more in the redzone against the 49'ers defense than the Seahawks will vs. the hapless Bears.

Advantage: Mickey Mouse Club

The Defense's: The Carolina defense is the 13th ranked defense in fantasy points so far this year and face an "on-fire" Air-McNair and his posse of talented wideouts. The Panthers know that the Titans can't run against them, but then, so has most every other team that Tennessee has faced this season. Stopping the Titan's aerial attack will be a huge problem for Carolina. KC's defense comes into the week as the second best fantasy defense and they play the floundering Oakland Raiders....Nuff said!

Advantage: Devil Dogs

Editor's Pick for the win....the Devil Dogs catch Mickey's Club in the mouse trap!
That's my two cents and it's worth every penny of it!
