I completely disagree. In fact, I'd say they proved the complete opposite: you need solid play out of your defense at some point if you want to win a Super Bowl. If the Colts' defense hadn't rebounded, they likely would've lost to Baltimore in the divisional game because they only got 261 yards offensively against the Ravens' defense. Thankfully for them, their defense only allowed the Ravens 241 yards. Don't think that if their defense was like it was the last 8 games that Lewis wouldn't have run rampant on them. That was a defense that let Ron Dayne run for 153 yards and 2 TDs.
