League 1
I play in a league with 3 offensive holdovers. You can not hold over more than 1 QB or more than 2 at any other position.
Our league is set up so that you have some flexibility with starters.
12 team league
1 QB
1 RB
1 WR
1 TE
3 Flex
the other positions are arbitrary
you can have a max of 3 RBs or 4 WRs start a given week (3rb/2WR is the set-up of choice)
League 2
12 teams
3 holdovers with no more than 1 at each position.
1 QB
2 RB
3 WR
1 TE
etc
again- top 36 are held over.
Most VBD systems say to only use that for the first 50 or so players.
Since both my league have holdovers, theoretically the top 36 players are already gone. With VBD, you end up doing a LOT of work to figure out 14 players, or basically, the first round.
I have pretty much scrapped the idea of VBD for this draft and decided to go with a tiering method.
Am I on the right page?
What about VBD for the remaining players (since technically it wont be the top 36 since that is a perfect world scenario) and then tiering after the top 60?
