Denver QB

Postby mannubhai » Sun Oct 19, 2003 7:33 pm

The backup QB Steve is down too now for atleast 4 weeks.
The second backup QB now playing for Denver.

How good or bad is he ? I dont even remember his name. I am not planning to start a Denver QB in the near future, but the effect of a QB on Portis numbers is my only concern.

Danny Kanell is the #3 QB in Denver. . . hes a Florida State guy (was the starter for a couple years after Ward and before Weinke was . . . like '94-'95?) Journeyman . . . first playing time since 2000. . . hope that helped. This may not help Portis' numbers as he will get more carries but it makes the Denver O more one-dimensional daring teams to stack up against the run.

His name is Danny Kanell, he used to be the QB for the Giants, I think he may have even started for a short while. But hes not very good so hes not worth a pick up

I don't even care at this point. Denver is cursed. Last year Griese trips over his dog and breaks his foot. This year Jake Plummer breaks his foot GETTING OUT OF BED! Now this.

I think that the Denver system has proven itself to be a system that promotes QBs and RBs. I don't think he will have a problem. I think they would have beat most teams with their performance today, but they were facing the mighty VIKINGS!
