Second, do NOT mess around with heat exhaustion. This can be a potentially serious situation and could have lasting effects throughout your life. Stay VERY hydrated all day today and if you feel bad at all you really should see your doctor. I’m not joking at all, so watch yourself.
I hope you feel better! Good luck with that carpet.
totally agree...back when i was like 12 or 13 i got hammered off Jack Daniels in the middle of the day in the summer and came home throwing up and passed out at like 2 PM...i had no idea how i was going to explain that one to mom but she asked if i drank any water all day and i told her no so she says "you poor thing, you probably have heat-stroke" and i was like "uhhh...yeah" so she went up and got me some gatorade...it was so awesome telling her the real story in my 20's
so kids...if you ever get busted for underage drinking in the summer claim heat-stroke
oh wait...i mean, hydrate, and dont drink underage or you'll end up like me

I agree. as a safety professional in southeast TX, heat stress is a significant issue. From your basic discription of your symptoms, it sounds more like you were on the verge of pssing into heat stroke which is a medical emergency. 50% of all people who get heat stroke die.
You could think of government workers like teenagers. You pay them an allowance, but do you get any work out them? They eat the food, put their feet on the furniture and complain loudly whenever they are unhappy.

yikes, I didn't realize what was going on was that serious, I guess the fact that I almost passed out shoulda been a sign, but I felt so much better after spewing I didn't really think about it...but I swear I stayed as hydrated as I could, water bottle after water bottle.

If you were really drinking that much water, it might have just been a stomach virus of some sort that was worsened by the heat. however, anytime its that hot don't fool around. Get cool, lots of water, and rest. I have had some heat exhaustion before and its not fun stuff.
