Changing from 10 to 12 teams in a keeper league with an auct

I have been asked to join a league changing from 10 teams to 12 teams. The league is a keeper league with an auction style draft and has been in existence for 1 season. The budget was $250. Teams can keep as many players as they want as long as they are under budget and can fill their 15 man roster. Their arte actually nine teams left and 1 was disolved into the draft pool. Is building a successful team starting at ground zero even possible under this scenario? They have no limit on keeper contracts?

Well dare I suggest it's only been up for 1 year and they want to add teams - why not just redraft and go keeper from there.

When our auction keeper league went from 12 to 15 teams, we had an EXPANSION wherein everyone kept their players (between 2-5, depending on last year's finish), and the leftovers were available to the new owners -- in an order pulled out of a hat -- to select someone at the salary they had last year and that player would be aawarded a 'new' contract at that price. After that process everyone was thrown back into the pool for the draft. This doesn't give the newbies a ton to work with, but they MAY be able to get a decent player at a mediocre price or fill in some DT/PK slots for a buck or two prior to the draft.

I didn't see your league was only around for ONE year. I completely agree with the last poster....trash the whole league and start over.

The other thing you need to remember is you are at a disdvantage if they DONT do this, cuz they drafted players with auction values in a 10-team league, and now the values will be for a 12-team league (inflated values now, lower then). You are getting screwed a bit....less competition means lower prices at an auction.
