If you have a yahoo league you can easily see the injury updates. They are always very current with the status of players. But some injuries to keep an eye on:
- Kevin Jones, RB Lions:
will be RBBC with Tatum Bell so don't look to him as a #1 or #2 RB.
- Laurence Maroney, RB Patriots
minor shoulder injury, since he's the featured back, he's definitely a viable #1 or #2
- Travis Henry, RB Broncos
Sprained left knee, will not play the rest of PRESEASON, but will play WEEK 1 of season, definite #1 or #2 back.
-Cedric Benson, RB Bears
Recovering from a long time injury, did not look too good as the featured back vs. the horrible Colts RUN D.
- Thomas Jones, RB Jets
Calf. Not too much to worry about. He should be back for the season.
-Ronnie Brown, RB Dolphins
Coach Cam has stated that Ronnie has not been heralded as the #1 RB (even though its likely), Jesse Chatman is competing.
-Marvin Harrison, WR Colts
As amazing as Marvin is, he's 35 and may hit his slump at any time. He's still a top 3 reciever in the NFL, but watch out.
-Donnovan McNabb, QB Eagles
Amazing yet still injury prone. Knee is slightly bothering him. Still a #1 QB pickup, but make sure you have a good backup.
-Fragile Freddy Taylor, RB Jaguars
Prone to injure himself, and the Jags can afford it with Maruice Jones-Drew as a viable RB. Try to stay from him, not a bad mid-late round pickup
-Chester Taylor, RB Vikings
Named #1 RB...for now. He has the amazing Adrian Peterson waiting to take his position, which may be this season. Look for him down down the charts
-Brandon Jacobs, RB Giants
Lost value when the Giants picked up Droughns. He will be splitting carries but will still be the featured back.
-Jason Campbell, QB Redskins
Bruised left knee. Fell pretty hard but claims he has no pain.
-Randy Moss, WR Patriots
Left hamstring. Probably BS...most talent usually claim injuries in the preseason to avoid playing in the pointless games. I could be wrong though.
-Terrell Owens, WR Cowboys
Back problems. See 'Randy Moss'....
-Plaxico Burress, WR Giants
Ankle. May be somewhat serious. Has not suited up. It could be a 'Randy Moss'.
-Santana Moss, WR Redskins
Groin. That seems to be clearing up.
-Kenny Irons, RB Bengals
Was likely to get some playing time until his injured himself to not play for this season...Don't pick him up....
SLEEPER PICKS.
Check out this for WR's...
http://www.fantasyfootballcafe.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=332654For RB's look into:
Michael Bush, RB Raiders. (Late round pick)
LenDale White, RB Titans (Mid-Late round pick)
Brandon Jackson, RB Packers (a possible #2 RB)
Kenny Watson, RB Bengals (Late round pick)
DeAngelo Willliams, RB Panthers (Mid-Late round pick)
Ron Dayne, RB Texans (Mid-Late round pick)
Leon Washington, RB Jets (Mid-Late round pick)
Ladell Betts, RB Redskins (Mid round pick)
I JUST REALIZED YOUR DRAFT IS FAR OVER WITH...BUT I'M NOT ERASING THIS....DAMN!!!
