But that was one game, against one of the best defenses of the league.
This game shows that Hester is too upredictable a scorer to play as a starter.
As I mentioned earlier, I'd think about using Welker but not Hester. If Welker has another 10+ points week next week, I'm going to seriously think about starting him week 3.
So that means that SJax is going to be a total bust this year?
So that means that Tony Romo is going to break every record known to man this year?
So that means that Randy Moss is going to score a bazillion points this year?
So that means that LT2 is going to score 32 TDs this year?

I know. Which is why "Devin Hester had exactly one offensive snap on Sunday." is all I said, and left it at that.
Yeppers. Fanball had a quote from Lovie saying he was upset that Hester saw such a limited amount of action and that he's going to try to get him the ball more. We'll see if that translates to action or remains Coachspeak.
Yep, that remains to be seen. Again, you can never base anything on one game, as we're trying to argue in the other thread. Thanks for getting my back there, btw. You rock!

No problem. Those n00bs need some learnin' that's all.

If he could run routes well and get open, Grossman would throw to him. I'd compare him more to Willie Gault than Steve Smith. Faster than lightning and a very crafty runner but doesn't turn on a dime. The Bears should take a lesson from their own history and try to hit him wayyyy downfield at least once a game. Gault didn't catch them all the time but he sure made the defenses think about it.
I only have Hester in one league, naturally on a very deep bench.
I'm withholding judgment until we see two things: 1) Chicago playing a weak defense. 2) Grossman playing well, or someone else (Griese) getting the start.
I don't think we can make any judgments about the Chicago offense based on a game against one of the better defenses in the league and with a quarterback playing whose suckiness rivals that of Ryan Leaf.

I think i'd rather have garrett wolfe. Who probably went undrafted in ALL redraft leagues. At what spot is Hester on the depth chart at WR. It won't make a big difference either way because they will run plays specifically for him if he ever really is to get the ball, but I have a feeling that I don't want any no. 4 or 5 wideouts on my fantasy team if i'm not getting return yard points. And i better be getting 10/pt if I'm gonna consider him in a return yard league. 30/pt isn't gonna cut it if it's 10/pt for receiving. Knapp's fantasy world came to a pinnacle in this thread: return yard leagues in which he's looking for every edge because he can't catch a break, chicago bears players, Devin Hester.
