I know it seems like a silly question and maybe a fruitless endeavor, but kickers can make the difference between winning and losing certain weeks. In recent years, we've had Rackers, Gould and Kaeding come from the middle or even back of the pack to produce some nice numbers week-in, week-out.
So who's that guy this year?
I was looking at my WW and the only guy that stands out to me is Mike Nugent.
stephen gostkowski, im targeting him late in every draft. new england didnt let vinatieri go, unless they knew they had someone who could fill those huge shoes, as their kicking game has literally won them championships

Maybe Mason Crosby of the Green Bay Packers? The Pack were last in red zone touchdowns last year... and Crosby has been about 85% on field goals so far in camp/preseason.

I was looking at Crosby, but it doesn't seem like he's locked down the job yet which is pretty concerning this late in the preseason.
Nedney is a good choice as well.
Gostowski seems to be drafted in most leagues. He's been struggling this preseason, but that doesn't really worry me at all. He should have a fine year even though the Belichick likes to go for it on 4th and short especially when the field goal is over 45 yards.
I carry ONE kicker on my team. I do not have a backup. I may even have a different kicker each week. I usually look for who has been performing well and also has the best matchup. I don't draft a kicker until the last and final round, but I do actually put some thought into it. If one of these years I get lucky and grab that one standout guy, I'll probably drop someone else during his bye week in order to keep him, but that hasn't happened to me in the past and I don't waste much time dwelling on whether or not my kicker is going to score me big time points. With that said, I have drafted Joe Nedney in each of my 4 leagues this year and I beleive he just may come around for me. (he was the top rated FF kicker a few years back, and SF has improved A LOT over the past 3 years). Let's hope we're right and Nedney is the man this year. Otherwise I guess I'm swapping kickers each week like I always have, but it doesn't seem to hurt my chances of winning the championship as I've won plenty of them in the past.

Yeah. But the cuts are today. Disregard my last post if the Packers end up keeping two kickers for some reason.
It isn't so much the K as the position his team puts them in. 95% of the K in the league money K inside of 55 yards but which team can move the ball but has trouble punching it in the end zone.
