i disagree, wait till rd 8 or 9 for your qb, taking a cutler, eli late then taking big ben or whoever is just fine. id take a rb, rb , then take gates, then take vincent jackson, lots of good wr this year.

Here is how I fared. I waited one round too long for a QB as you will see. But my RB's and WR's are strong. I think I will be able to move a reserve RB for good serviceable QB with little problems. Here is how the draft went down:

4. Larry Johnson
21. Travis Henry
28. Terrell Owens
45. Cedric Benson (I had to derail to get him here)
52. Marques Colston
68. Isaac Bruce
75. Alge Crumpler
92. LaDell Betts
99. Chad Pennington (best available, I promise)
116. Muhsin Muhammed
123. Joe Horn
140. Jake Delhomme
147. Vikings D/ST
164. J. Kasay

So here is my depth chart:

1 QB: Pennington, Delhomme (ugh)
2 RB: Larry Johnson, Travis Henry, Cedric Benson, LaDell Betts
3 WR: Terrell Owens, Marques Colston, Isaac Bruce, Muhsin Muhammed, Joe Horn
1 TE: Alge Crumpler
1 D/ST: Vikings
1 K: Kasay

Yeah if you could do the trade I would.

PS how about a list of free agent QBs?
First the Shock, then the Pistons can the Lions be next?

Well maybe next yr.

PS I didn't lose a paper bag challenge but somehow as a Lion's fan it just feels right.

I read somewhere on this forum that Jacksonville has the easyest schedule against the pass.

Not saying you need to pick him up right away, but keep a eye on Garrard.

Anyone else's take on these guys?

I see how your worried about your QB but realize most people after the draft figure they have the best team and won't trade fair at all at present time.

You need to wait awile and let them lose a couple of games cause their RBs suck etc. then they will be ready to trade.

For right now just look for a good match-up at QB for wk. one, I don't like Chad's match-up in wk. one at all, New England is one bad ass D.

Now I'll give you a example of a good match-up for a QB

ANY ONE PLAYING THE LIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!

As a long suffering Lion's fan I can safely tell you our secondary sucks, we traded Dre Bly our best CB for Tatum Bell and Bullock our starting Safety tore his ACL last wk. and is out for the yr. We prob. will make Dante Culpepper look like he's a fantasy stud again in wk one (he's not IMO)

Anways he might not be a bad play in wk one.

yes your RB depth will be your advantage, which is good for you. wait until RBs start dropping off then reap the rewards w a trade for a QB and another good WR and you should be fine

I have to disagree. Between Rodney Harrison serving his suspension for HGH and Asante Samuel holding out (last i checked he still was anyway) I think Penny will do fine against that secondary.
