I'm participating in a 12 team yahoo draft tomorrow, not sure which draft position yet...
Typically I'd not pick up a QB until the 6th+ rnd and usually go for a Romo, Kitna, or the likes, but this league is a bit different... We are only starting 2 WR instead of the typical 3...
QB, WR, WR, RB, RB, TE, K, DEF, DB, DB, BN, BN, BN, BN, BN, BN, BN, BN, BN, BN, BN, BN, BN, BN, BN
The significant scoring is as follows...
Passing Yards (50 yards per point)
Passing Touchdowns (6)
Interceptions (-2)
Rushing Yards (20 yards per point)
Rushing Touchdowns (6)
Reception Yards (20 yards per point)
Reception Touchdowns (6)
Return Touchdowns (6)
2-Point Conversions (2)
Fumbles Lost (-2)
Offensive Fumble Return TD (6)
Does the combination of 6 pt per passing TD and only starting 2 WR make it much more critical to try and get one of the elite 6 QB (manning, palmer, brady, brees, mcnabb, bulger) even if it means a 3-4 rnd pick??? Another note, most of these people are returning from the same league with same settings last season and a run at QB was made in round2. Last season with only 8 teams, by the end of rnd2 P.Manning, Brady, Palmer, Culpepper, E.Manning were all gone, with McNabb, Hasselbeck, and Roethlisberger following in the 3rd and everyone had a QB! Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance!
