My #4 WR

Postby zirco33 » Mon Sep 03, 2007 1:15 pm

I have Anquan Boldin, Roy Williams, Reggie Brown, and Dwayne Bowe as my recievers in a league that starts 3 WRs and gives a point for every 3 receptions. I drafted Bowe as a late round flier, but there are a few guys out there that could be a better option. Williamson, Bennett, Moulds, and Curry are available. I was thinking that relying on the rookie is a bad idea and that I should grab Williamson and hopes he has the break out season or go with Bennett who is in a great passing offense. What do you guys think?

I think Curry has more potential than any of those other options. I would drop Bowe for Curry.

Curry is the best easily. If Oakland gets any kind of pass game going then he could put up another 50-60+ catch season. I was formerly high on Williamson but after seeing him suck like his former self in pre-season I'm predicting he does nothing once again.

Bennett is easily the best option. He is going to step in as the #2 receiver in a big time offense.

I agree with ^^^. Bennett is the best option of all these guys. He is on the best offense with a top-tier quarterback and was brought in for a reason -- to catch footballs.

I agree on Curry being the best option. The guy's a player.

Considering Tennessee's WR situation, it says a bit about Bennett's ability that they didn't bother to retain him.

I think I'd have to lean toward Bennett over Curry. Bennett is in high scoring pass happy offense with a proven QB. Curry has to hope Culpepper or McCown can be a consistant QB. Keep an eye on Williamson, if the Vikes get any kind of consistancy out of Jackson, Troy will be targeted a lot.
