So four of the six playoff teams are Football guys, with one more (me) just missing the cut. Biju and Half Massed earn First Round byes. GSOE and Wicked duke it out in the first quarterfinal, while Leber takes on Cords in the other.
The way the bracket is set up we are guaranteed of having at least one Footballer in the Finals, and if Leber can beat both cordscords and Half Massed we’ll have an all-football Final. Not too shabby, guys!
As a DS representative, the sample group that you assembled is like recruiting Ron Jeremy to a Mr. Universe convention. We will still prevail.

In all seriousness, I wasn't as active as I would have liked to be. I got a new job in June, and put in some mind numbing days for it, so pretty much all of my leagues across the board suffered. That, and I admittedly made some bad picks during the draft (read: Prior, Wood, Harden, etc.) so it wasn't just being busy. I was out played and out manuevered.

That’s not what I heard. What I was told when this league formed was that there was a waiting list a mile long to get into this league from you Dark Siders, and your guys chose the best available from those wanting in. There was even some discussion from the DS guys because one of our original eight had to drop out, and fantasybeast27 wanted in and he is a relative unknown on the LS, and the discussion was that we shouldn’t be letting just anyone in on our side because some really quality guys had to be turned away on the DS.
So if these guys are not representative of the “true quality” of the Baseball Cafe, you have only yourselves to blame.
And no, you will NOT prevail. We gotcha. It's in the bag.
Only 2 of the 8 there are 'holics for the dark side. 1 of the 2 wasn't a 'holic at the time he joined this league I don't think. I don't want to disrespect those that aren't 'holics but if I wanted to find the best players from the dark side I would start with the 'holics first!
With that said, its still no excuse to lose to the light siders.....and especially to not make the playoffs! I'm equally disgusted that The Artful Dodger felt like it was ok to abandon his team....
Oh, I'd also call Knapp just as much of a dark sider as a light sider....he may not want to hear that but he spends just as much time over there as he does here!

I'm pretty embarrassed at my performance. I was one of the Cafeholics involved. I admittedly didn't have the time this summer (12 of 13 in my Cafeholics league) and (13 of 13 in another all Cafe league coupled with this 11 of 16 peformance. It was a good summer for me professionally, just not fantasy wise.
In any event, I hope to do better next year, that is if I even have time to play fantasy baseball. I hate being in my mid 20's and having real responsiblities!
Well the dream is offically over for me. Wicked knocked me out. My players really let me down the last few weeks. They were on a huge tear in the first half and limped into the 5th spot. o well. Go get em Wicked!

I could have written this exact post. Same player performance, ending with a loss to wicked.
Grinding down, I'm in the lead 5-3-2. I'd be up more if I wouldn't have missed out on Garland's shutout win, but I usually set my lineups at work and our internet was down the whole day (Same thing in the other league I'm in the championship in)
Hopefully those damn Yankees can hold it off and actually hit a few HRs or something...
