I was totally overwhelmed once we started picking i was just completely lost, i didn't have anything planned really past the first round. LOL
Anyway heres how it went, i had the 6th pick.
tell me how bad it is and help me rectify what i might need or who to start.
QBs: Jay Cutler & Tony Romo RBs: Frank Gore/Ronnie Brown/Marion Barber/Rueben Droughns/Correll Buckhalter WRs:Donald Driver/ Mark Clayton/Ronald Curry/Santonio Holmes TE:Alge Crumpler K: Stephen Gastkowski DST: Miami
The guys i had in mind kept getting snagged up and the guys i wanted to steal late in the draft i couldn't find on the friggin charts fast enough.
It's not bad... The only trouble with it is Driver's persistent injury issues... He has a bum shoulder and now a bum foot - neither of which are good injuries for a WR to have...
But overall you did well... The only thing you really lack is RB depth, because both your RB3 and RB4 are RBBC backs, so if Brown or Gore get hurt or benched you might be in trouble...
This isn't a bad team, though... You could make the playoffs if Driver can stay on the field...
Yeah basically I'm banking on my 2 backs staying healthy, and I'm looking to trade for another solid WR a few weeks into the league - or see if i can find a sleeper free-agent once the season starts and one emerges.
I'm also looking into my crystal ball and predicting that Westbrook will get hurt, so i have secret value with the correll buckholter pick(even though he himself has injury issues). Or perhaps i could use him as trade bait with the team that has Westbrook regaurdless.
The driver thing i'm suspect about as well, All the WR's flew off the shelves in the 2nd round which i was not expecting. I'm going to sit him the first week since his foot injury is still rehabbing and he wont see a lot of plays in my opinion.
So Mark Clayton and Santonio Holmes are getting the start, I have a great feeling this is claytons break-out year, and PITT is going to pass a lot more this season with their new head coach - plus they are playing cleveland who sucks against the pass.
Do you think I'm right to start Romo over Cutler? Cutler is playing against buffalo - but Romo seems to throw a lot more than him.

I would agree that Romo is the play... I need to see a little more out of Cutler before I start relying on him...
With regards to Buckhalter - I would rather have Tony Hunt... It's a coin flip as to who the main guy will be if Westy gets injured, but with Hunt you have the short yardage and goal line specialist REGARDLESS of Westy's health... I think he's a much better prospect than Buckhalter...
midnite003 wrote:Interesting, I just checked and Tony Hunt is a free agent in my league, should i make a bid on him and release buckholter?
I probably would... But it's a real crap shoot at this point... There is no clear cut #2 in Philly... The only reason *I* prefer Hunt is because he'll be the goal line specialist...
Alright well i did it anyway - no harm no foul if it doesn't work out, it's not like i had big plans for buckhalter , and after reading that he scored 2 red zone TDs in the final pre-season game leads me to believe you are right about him.
I guess i won't start him out of the gate, i'll keep marion barber as my flex player - but i'll keep my eye on how philly uses Hunt and go from there.
