what to do when the commish has a questionable trade.

My commish just traded Kellen Winslow (his 8th round pick) for Willie Parker (someone else's first round pick).

I was pretty livid about this lopsided trade which in also unethical since he is the commish.

I've dropped out of the league (it was a free league) in protest.

I think you pretty much did what is in your power. Drop out and screw them if they don't want to run a competitive league. That is what you'll get from free leagues, though, unfortunately. People either don't know what they are doing, don't really care, or flat out cheat or submarine the league.

I would recommend playing with people you know, and put at least a little money on the line to keep people interested.

Yep - Pretty much all you can do. I'm commish in my league and I already designated assistants who will have to approve trades that I am involved in assistant A if I am with anyone else in the trade and assistant B if the trade is between A and I. We are buddies though and public leagues have issues like this when you get commissioners without scruples.

Yup clearly something is screwed up here. I'd probably quit that league also and never join another run by that tool.
