Ok, I've not really studied crash sites for cars, so I may be really stupid but I don't get the part about the car going 83 mph to leave the skid mark, and then it's still going 75 when it hit the barricade? I mean if the distance of the skid mark determines the speed (that makes sense), then where did the additional 75 miles per hour come from? Did he floor it, or was he doing more like 120+ when this all started?

Can anyone teach me something here?
