Yeah, I was in shock when I saw Welker was the 2nd best Wide Receiver in the whole league by my rules

Yeah, I don't care for kick and punt return yards for this very reason.

I'm okay with return yards if it is a 14 or better team league and the scoring isn't more than 20-30 yds per point compared to 10 per point for RB/WR/TEs. It can add to the competitive balance.

10 PPY is silly. No real need to draft any but the elite WRs since they cannot outscore better than average returners. It can help if you add a PPR to place more emphasis on players who actually catch passes. (Welker will still rule, not so much Hall, Drummond types)

hope this isn't one of those leagues where when they figure out this twist they'll try to alter the scoring. that would be suck (not to mention shouldn't be done...)

I remember my rules got changed in-season in Yahoo! by the Commisioner last year. Be careful before dropping all your players.

my league has this too, I just noticed: " Return Yards (10 yards per point)"

QB, WR, WR, RB, TE, W/R, K, DEF, D, D, BN, BN, BN, BN, BN

should I be grabbing guys like Burleson or Cribbs in lieu of my some of my bench WRS? Ginn Jr, and Welker have been drafted (which I was wondering why anyways)

RB
Steven Jackson - Ronnie Brown
Marshawn Lynch -
WR
Torry Holt - Bernard Berrian
D. Henderson - Kevin Curtis - P Crayton
QB
D. McNabb
TE
Heath Miller Eric Johnson
K
Adam Vinatieri

Tab Perry is another player to consider, he's the Bengals' WR3 while Chris Henry is suspended, as well as kick/punt returner.

I give 1pt/20 yd for punt returns. These players should gain points for this production, but 1pt/10yd seems a bit much.

There was a thread with a compiled list of WRs and RBs who are used as the teams primary return man.

Even 1/20 is enough to make returners incredibly valuable. 1/40 is probably more reasonable.
