Tank is only gonna make the D-Line better. Dallas has a great D-Line and good linebackers but their secondary is lacking. I personally have never thought Newman was great but he's definitely an upgrade over whoever else they have in there. I think the secondary is what's gonna keep them from becoming a top 5 or even top 10. I could see them pretty close to top 10 though.

Newman isnt known as a great corner because quarterbacks don't throw at him. He is one of the top 5 corners in the league.

Please explain how Newman is not a shut-down corner. Before you do, have you ever even watched Newman specifically in a game? Or are you saying he isnt because you've never heard anyone say he is? (Which is getting harder every day)

I think Newmann only gave up 2 TD's last year. Pretty good considering the safety's he had over the top to rely on in coverage.

Just wanted to clarify a few points....


1. Our D Line is far from great, Marcus Spears is so close to getting cut its not even funny, he has done nothing since being picked rd 1 and we rarely generate pressure from a 3 man line the way we should, something like the Chargers did last yr...Our DE's are non existant outside of Hatcher who has came out of nowhere to show he's the best end we have, but outside of that we are lacking a premiere talent on the D line and could very well take one first rd next yr

2. Terrance Newman is arguably a top 5 corner in the league, he's probably unanimous top 10, thing about him though is he doesnt make alot of plays ala PacMan...Newman is great at coverage, and prevents things from happening...he plays great defense on wr's and stops many passes from being thrown, or comes up with a breakup or makes sure his man doesnt beat him...But at the same time he's not baiting qb's in to throw the pass and picking them off for the distance, and he may not always have the most picks in the league but that stat is misleading...deltha o'neal was leading the league in int's i think a yr ago and he is not a top 10 cover corner, T New doesnt make as many plays as Champ, or PacMan but he's still overall one of the best corners in the league when healthy...unfortunately he probably wont be fully healthy this yr, i think he has the same thing mario williams had last yr, and it lingers all season
