A flex position is where you can have an extra regular roster spot. In most cases, its a WR or RB position, but some leagues use a WR or TE flex position.

Its basically allowing you to start an extra player, so you need to take a look at your scoring to decide what player would fit best. If the flex spot is WR/RB and your scoring system favors runningbacks, put your 3rd RB in that starting spot. If your league favors wide recievers, then plug in your WR there.

If the flex spot is WR/TE, you will fill it with an extra WR, unless you have 2 top notch TEs.

Hope this helps ;-D

thanks, that does help. my league favors wr/te. we also get points for individual punt and kick returns/td.......is it worth looking at a player that returns punts/kicks?

I would fill the spot with my WR that I can't decide whether to start or sit.

But...if you are looking to fill that spot with a KR, take a look at your WR free agent list, sort by the 2006 stats, and then by "kick and punt return yards"...return TDs are golden, but you will gain many more points from yardage than you will with return TDs.

Snag one of the top guys on the list, and plug him in.

A top notch TE would be one that you could expect to get as many points as the WR you would bench to put him in that spot.

Dallas Clark?

No.
