Bengals #3 WR and Kick Returner this week?

Postby FF Newbie » Thu Sep 20, 2007 4:00 pm

Who will be the #3 WR and who will return kickoffs for the Bengals this week? Will Glenn Holt perform both duties or will Chatman or Skyler Greene step in as return man this week? If Holt is the #3 wr AND kick returner, he could be a good play this week in leagues that give points for return yardage.

From what ive read Glen Holt will be the #3 and ive had my eye on him all week, i picked up burleson over him due to the bengals not being able to play defense, but the bengals slot wr is worth keeping your eye on in any sense...him or perry are neither chris henry but worth playing at the time right now

Yeah, I think Perry is still hurt, so Holt should be the #3 WR this week. Anyone know if he will return kicks?

Holt is the word I'm hearing...It was Tab's job to lose and all he has proved so far is that he's made of glass...Love Tab, he's a huge part of last year's special teams success, but he isn't staying healthy..

Whether or not Glenn continues doing kick returns isn't a sure thing....He played well there last week with 6 returns for almost 180 yards (hopefully he won't get that many opportunities this week :-P )...But Marvin may want to save him if he's going to be playing 3rd WR all game....Skyler Green may get the call for that...I personally think Glenn will be back there most of the time...If he is, he should get at least 3 or 4 returns for 80-90 yards...

Who will, Greene or Holt?

Btw, Glenn Holt is a classic name for a WR. :-b

Thanks, jayday. If you hear anything more definitive by Sunday and think to post it here, I'd appreciate it. ;-D

Tab Perry is definitely out.
TJ Housh is probable.
Antonio Chatman is questionable.

Glenn Holt will probably be returning kick offs unless there are numerous other WR injuries during the game which would necessetate he stays healthy for WR duty. Backing him up are WR Skyler Green and/or RB Kenny Watson.

Returning punts should be Antonio Chatman is he dresses. Else it will be Skyler Green forsure. Other Bengals that have done it in recent memory are CB Keiwan Ratliff (stunk last year) and WR TJ Housh (too valuable now)

#3 WR for this game if Chatman plays will probably be split between Holt and Chatman, else it should be Holt. Don't be surprised though if Skyler Green, Kenny Watson, or even back-up TE Daniel Coats take a couple snaps each from that position as Glenn Holt isn't what one might call an every-play caliber #3 NFL wide out.
