Behrens's best column yet...

Postby Cooner » Sat Sep 22, 2007 10:29 pm

So we've taken our turn roasting Behrens's columns; it's time to give credit when it's due.

;-D ;-D to the column on dealing Lewis and (more importantly) vetos. I've been in more than one league that has been ruined by owners trying to handicap other owners by vetoing deals that, while maybe not even on paper, were genuine attempts to better both teams by both owners.

(And deal Lewis for McDonald?!?! Really!?!?)

Has Behrens turned over a new leaf?? Good column ;-D

I agree completely with his take on the deal in his league. And adding to what he says, what team is gonna throw the season in week 3? Even if you're 0-2 you're still competing this early. I also like this:

If you judge a trade to be one-sided yet not collusive, the most productive thing you can do is make similar offers to the victimized owner.

Let's keep em coming ;-D

This is why I prefer commish veto's for trades. All you need is a good commish that will only veto trades if they involve cheating or one player quiting and dumping all his players to ruin the league. Lopsided trades are part of fantasy football. You shouldn't be penalized because you found a good deal and no one else did.
