LSU not playing Georgia in the SEC Championship may of put them in the BCS championship. I was actually hoping LSU played Tennessee in the SEC championship because I obviously thought they would be easier to beat.

What a crazy season.

I guess myself, Mikus and LSUfan2k7 can celebrate.

LSU is the only school to win two BCS National Championships. ;-D ;-D ;-D

Its been a long season. I had to wear the baghead a couple of times but oh well. Coach Miles got the job done when it counted. Im looking forward to a fun season next year.

Maybe a National Championship will give us a recruiting boost for next season. I want a repeat. :-b

Congrats on a great season to LSU.

As for the recruiting boost, Patrick Johnson recently canceled his visits to UF and FSU, as well as his (two) verbal commitments and chose LSU (you bastards, we really needed him ;-) )

LSU lands a quarterback for 2009:

NOLA.com wrote: Highly regarded Texas high school quarterback prospect Russell Shepard will tell you luck had nothing to do with him becoming commitment No.¤7 in LSU's 2009 recruiting class.

"It was a gut feeling for me," Shepard said Tuesday in explaining his decision after verbally committing via telephone to LSU Coach Les Miles on Monday night. "(LSU is) an amazing program. Their tradition is outstanding. The way I look at it, the school's not lucky, I'm lucky to be getting a chance to play in a program like theirs."

Shepard, who is 6 feet 2, 185 pounds with sub-4.4-second speed in the 40-yard dash, is rated among the nation's top prospects as he prepares for his third season as a starter at Cypress Ridge High School in Houston. This past season as a junior, Shepard sparked the Rams to the District 17-5A championship, an 11-2 record and a berth in the Texas Class 5A state quarterfinals while accounting for 2,319 yards and 26 touchdowns with his running and passing.
