Perrilloux was regarded by many as the top quarterback out of high school the year he committed to LSU. He was a fantastic high school player at East St. John in Louisiana, but never won a championship (even though he claimed he would become the first player to win four state titles). He wanted to play for John Curtis and demanded to be the starter as a freshman. But when the JC coaches told him would have to compete for the job he chose to attend East St. John. Rumors circulated that he was a very dirty player in high school, including pulling a Marcus Vick on helpless defensive players a number of times.
Committed to LSU after wavering between the Tigers and Texas Longhorns. Told JaMarcus Russell that he would take his job. Also said he would be the first player to win four Heisman trophies. Nothing but trouble since he got here. His first major scandal came when his name was brought up in a money counterfeiting scheme. He tried to use a fake $100 to buy something, but was later cleared of any wrong-doing. Then he tried to get into a casino in Baton Rouge using a fake ID (or someone else's ID, the details are fuzzy for me now) and may even have pulled the "Do you know who I am?" card. He took a lot of heat for that incident, got suspended by Les Miles and has been in and out of trouble ever since, including being at the scene of a bar fight near the LSU campus, skipping classes and team meetings and other things. Trouble follows this guy around.
But he is a very talented football player.
