Ryan Perrilloux up to his old tricks again:

Daily Reveille wrote:LSU junior quarterback Ryan Perrilloux allegedly caused a scene at a local restaurant Friday night, a few days before he was expected to rejoin the team Monday for spring practice.

A server at Kona Grill in Perkins Rowe told The Daily Reveille late Tuesday night that Perrilloux arrived at the restaurant 30 minutes after it closed Friday.

Perrilloux entered the bar and attempted to order drinks. After he was denied service, Perrilloux began to curse and use racial slurs, the server said.

A Kona Grill manager approached Perrilloux, who then cursed the manager. The server said Perrilloux was asked to leave. And the police were called to the restaurant, but Perrilloux had left by the time any officers arrived.

The server said LSU coach Les Miles called the restaurant Saturday to apologize for Perrilloux.

Linkage

When is Les Miles going to stop sticking up for this kid? I think it is about time to sever ties here, he obviously has not learned his lesson(s).

I wonder how this incident got back to Coach Miles and why Coach would defend this guy by apologizing for him. He must be one hell of a football for this to occur. Can you give a little bit of background on this dude, Mike?

Perrilloux was regarded by many as the top quarterback out of high school the year he committed to LSU. He was a fantastic high school player at East St. John in Louisiana, but never won a championship (even though he claimed he would become the first player to win four state titles). He wanted to play for John Curtis and demanded to be the starter as a freshman. But when the JC coaches told him would have to compete for the job he chose to attend East St. John. Rumors circulated that he was a very dirty player in high school, including pulling a Marcus Vick on helpless defensive players a number of times.

Committed to LSU after wavering between the Tigers and Texas Longhorns. Told JaMarcus Russell that he would take his job. Also said he would be the first player to win four Heisman trophies. Nothing but trouble since he got here. His first major scandal came when his name was brought up in a money counterfeiting scheme. He tried to use a fake $100 to buy something, but was later cleared of any wrong-doing. Then he tried to get into a casino in Baton Rouge using a fake ID (or someone else's ID, the details are fuzzy for me now) and may even have pulled the "Do you know who I am?" card. He took a lot of heat for that incident, got suspended by Les Miles and has been in and out of trouble ever since, including being at the scene of a bar fight near the LSU campus, skipping classes and team meetings and other things. Trouble follows this guy around.

But he is a very talented football player. :-t

Story in the paper today said he will be back at practice with the team -- and off suspension -- on Sunday. :-t

And now he has been officially booted from the team:

BATON ROUGE, La. - LSU quarterback Ryan Perrilloux, who has had legal and disciplinary problems throughout his college career, has been kicked off the team.

Coach Les Miles says Perrilloux “didn’t fulfill his obligation as an LSU student-athlete,” but is not giving details.

LSU said Friday that Perrilloux is expected to finish out the spring semester at the school.

I give the nod to Andrew Hatch to start the 2008 regular season, but Jarrett Lee will battle him in camp.

And so goes the saga of Ryan Perrilloux. Do you think he will play elsewhere, Mikus?

Possible. I could see him moving to a D-II school to play (think Southern, Grambling, etc.).

Someone mentioned he could go to Appalachain State and, if he could play next year, his first game would be against LSU.
