SELVIN YOUNG integrity issue

Postby squealpigs » Sat Oct 06, 2007 10:48 am

Is it wrong if your league has no waiver wire and you pick up someones back up before they have a chance, example Selvin Young. This happened in my league and I was told it was an integrity issue.

Was I in any way wrong for picking up Young?

This guy just sounds like a cry baby, and if I were you i'd avoid his league next year.

Puh-leez. Agree 100% with the previous poster. Is this guy just mad because he didn't get to him fast enough? I bet he is.

For example I drafted Ronnie Brown but not Chatman in a league. The guy with the #1 waiver offered me that he would add Chatman (a Free Agent) and trade him to me. What is not fair about this? Yeah I would have rather not had to trade for the backup but shame on me for not drafting him to begin with.

Forget this, next year play in another league.

If he trades his "best" player to anyone that is playing you, Laugh. For one week of revenge he has assured that he will be losing the rest of the season, plus next time he plays you he plays without that guy. P.S. I picked up Selvin the day I heard the report that Henry was smokin the greenage. I also picked up Chatman right after Brown went down, and grabed up ward early when Jacobs went down. If you dont have a stellar draft you work the waiver wire, thats part of Fantasy Football.

You didn't do anything wrong at all. When a league doesn't have a waiver wire it's 1st come, 1st serve. You beat him to it and he's crying sour grapes. I won't play in a league that doesn't have a waiver wire system, but that's not the issue here. Your league doesn't have one so you had every right to pick up Young...and so did he. He's just upset that he was too slow! ;-D
