Question for the EXPERIENCED Fantasy Football Player!!!!

Postby Riggo » Fri Aug 30, 2002 1:00 pm

Need to know who to start and don't say oh Derrick Alexander is no good. I need an honest opinion. I don't like Alexander much either but I have Culpepper and I grabbed him late. I have a situation at WR and I need to know who to start.

Keyshawn Johnson is already starting who should be my #2 WR.

Derrick Alexander
Qadry Ismail
Orande Gadsden

Thanks in advance and I will answer your posts.

I really like Quadry in Indy. He did great things for Baltimore and I thinks can be productive with Manning throwing the ball. I am hesitant to start Alexander because he is still fighting off Dwayne Bates. Alexander can be a good receiver but must get through injuries. Gadsen really could struggle with Williams there and the emphasis of running the ball. Gadsen is a number two receiver on a run often offense.

Hope that helps.

I agree w/ the previous post.

Even if Alexander didn't have his history, it looks like he'll be the #3 WR or at least not a true #2. I also think Culpepper is passing to Moss, Moss, Moss, and every now and again Chamberlyn.

Concerning Gadsen - who would rather have throwing to a guy on your team - Manning or Feidler?

I also like Ismael. Most defenses will be keying on Marvin Harrison which leaves the speedy missile open DEEEEEEP!

ismail is your man he is a decent #1 reciever playing the 2nd spot on a team ::::: harrison will take most of the heat so it will leave him (still a quality reciever) with a lot more man to man opertunities which he will be able to exploit

I think alexander would be the way to go. As for the others, seems like there would be some better WR's out on the wire. If Antonio Freeman is available, he would be the best bet.

I think the choice of Ismail is definitley the way to go here.

1. As many pointed out Alexander is a career underachiever, isn't 100% healthy, and most likely is the #3 reciever behind Bates.

2. Gadsen is now playing secong fiddle to Chambers, and the run first offense brought to Miami by Norv Turner. I do think Gadsen will catch about 6 TD's this year, but receptions and yards should be low.

3. Ismail should produce well even if he loses time to Wayne, because of that offense.

For week 1 only, I would rate them Ismail, Alexander, Gadsen.

I have been doing this for 13 years, I hope I could help you out.
Good Luck
