Tossup: Patriots going 16-0 vs. Dolphins going 0-16

I saw this debate on PTI a few days ago. Better chance of happening: Pats going undefeated or Dolphins losing every single game in the season?

At first, I thought that the Dolphins going winless throughout the season to be nearly impossible especially with an above average defense and a good running game. But now that Trent Green is hurt and Lemon is the QB , the chances of going 0-16 just skyrocketed.


As for the Pats, they've dominated EVERY game this season. Imagine how good they'll be once Harrison/Seymour both return to their Pro-bowl forms. Even worse, imagine how good the Pats would be if they weren't got videotaping the defensive signals .


For now, my vote goes for the Dolphins going 0-16. (So how's that Ted Ginn Jr. draft pick work out for ya, Fins fans? Can he play QB (because he doesn't seem like much of a WR ?)

Dolphins going 0-16 has a 0.00000% chance of happening. Ronnie Brown won't let that happen.

Pats going 16-0 has a slightly better chance of happening at 0.0000001% They haven't played a team with a .500 record yet, so it will be easier to assess their chances after next week after Dallas. They still play Dallas, Indianapolis, NYG, and Baltimore on the road, and they play the Redskins, Philadelphia, and Pittsburgh at home. Chances are they'll lose one or two games out of those 6 matchups.

I'd expect them to lose in Week 17 for sure because they will probably have everything locked up by then and the Giants most likely won't, and beating the Giants on the road isn't easy under any circumstances.

I'd say its harder to go 0-16 than 16-0. Mostly because its much easier to play bad than it is to play good. As bad as Miami is playing right now, on any given Sunday their opponent can play worse. New England is stomping their opponents this year, but that's going to be hard to maintain for 16 games.

The Dolphins have three games left against the Jets and the Bills, there's no way they go winless.

There are so many teams that are really good this year that it's going to be hard for anyone to stay undefeated. The Colts have the best shot in my opinion and remember that NE and Indy play each other so one of those teams will most likely have a loss on their record. The playoffs are going to be a ton of fun this year if the good teams stay as good as they are playing right now.

Let's see...

Dolphins lost their starting RB, their starting QB, and traded away their top WR.

I really don't see how they can win a game (although Cleo Lemon has looked decent at times).
