Trent Green trade: accepted before the injury...is it vetoab

Here's the questionable trade in the league where I'm commissioner:

Team A gets:
Trent Green
Derrick Mason

Team B gets:
Jason Campbell
Lee Evans

This trade was accepted the Saturday night before Green got hurt...there is no collusion evident, but everyone's whining about the injury...I feel like I should just let it happen because it was accepted on even grounds...What do you guys usually do in this situation? Thanks in advance.

As long as the offer and acceptance were done prior to Sunday, I see no reason why this should not go through. If this trade happened earlier in the week and all the approvals went through, would there still be complaints? The trade was made and accepted in good faith....injuries happen.

I almost had a deal to trade Steven Jackson for Larry Johnson in week 3 but I didn't pull the trigger on Friday. Jackson got hurt on Sunday. Had I done the deal, there would have been plenty of whining by the LJ owner on Monday, but it would have been too late. I would have felt bad, but not too bad.

The trade must go through! Just because he accepted the trade before Sunday and Green got hurt is not grounds to veto the trade in favor of the owner getting Green. As previously stated, injuries do happen!

Ive noticed a few guys in my league who try to do this on the sly...For instance, when they discuss a trade, they have the team send out the offer and they let it stand for a day or 2, even longer if the owner doesnt decline it, so if one of the players in their trade gets hurt that day they accept it, usually the commish jumps on it if they see it, but ive seen them try it..


otherwise, if you trade for a guy who gets hurt, thats your loss, and horrible luck
