Eugene Sanders, chief executive officer of the Cleveland public schools, said the boy was not supposed to be in the building Wednesday and local media reports said he had been suspended.

That makes it sound like he was looking for revenge. Still stinks , but at least it doesn't appear to just be another kid "going nuts".

This happened about two blocks down the street from where we work. They warned us not to leave the building until it was over. Terrible.

Guns alone don't kill people, bad people with guns kill good people but I'm not going into a gun ethics debate. It would subtract from the meaning of this thread and event that has happened today.

What motivates a 14 year old to do this, I'm always baffled when this stuff happens, how he has access to guns in the first place is just stupid. If you must own a gun at least lock it up so your kid can't get it. Hope everyone involved is safe and recovers quickly. Reading the article on CNN the gunshot wounds are all extremely odd. Somebody was shot in the elbow, another in the knee, weird places to get shot!
