I doubt the prosecution is going to go for the maximum possible sentence. These news reports always report the max sentence and the judges hardly ever go that harsh. I suppose it makes for more provocative news though.

Anyways, I'd like to know if this guy got to eat his stolen donut at least. To go to jail for stealing a donut and not even getting to eating it is cruelly ironic.

I'm not outraged. Al Capone was caught on tax fraud. So what if a lesser crime puts away a bad man. I'm not trying to say this man was as bad as capone... but i think you understand what i'm saying.

the guy has been arrested what, 15 times? Obviously the other sentences aren't getting it done.

I don't agree at all with the thirty years to life (obviously), but 5-10 years isn't unreasonable at all for this IMO. I mean, if it ain't working, up the ante.

Unless this is one of those homeless guys that is trying to live off the prisons. In which case they should force him to not go to prison.
