They stole my car...and my baby!!!

Postby Metroid » Sat Oct 13, 2007 7:38 pm

Just saw this on the local news here, it happened really close to me. Citrus Heights is about 40 minutes down the road.

Car Stolen With Baby Inside
CITRUS HEIGHTS, Calif. - A 7-month old girl has been reunited with her parents after being left in a car that was stolen from a driveway in Citrus Heights early Saturday morning. The girl's parents said they left their car running while making a stop at a friend's home on Standford Oaks Drive around 3 a.m., according to the Sacramento County Sheriff's Department. The young girl was left in a car seat in the back of the car, deputies said. Sheriff's deputies launched a search for the vehicle and found it about an hour later near Sunrise Boulevard in Citrus Heights.

The car had been abandoned, and the child was left in the backseat.

She was briefly hospitalized before being released to her parents, according to deputies on the scene who described the move as a precaution.

What kind of cracksmoker leaves a 7 month old baby in the back seat of a running car at 3am in the morning!!?!?! Both these idiotic parents should be b*tch slapped.

WOW, that's just sad. I agree with the rest though. What good can happen having your 7 year old out at three in teh morning. And if you have to, who in their right mind leaves them in their running car? :-t

this is just an unfortunate sequence of events. these people were probably out of town. got back late, needed to pick up their mail or something. the kid was asleep in the car. it was easier just to run in real quick than to wake up the child and bring her in the house cranky.

It takes both parents to pick up their mail? Rationalize it as you may, there's no excuse.

without all the facts i think it is unfair to make judgments.

The only possible excuse I could think of that would make this understandable would be if they weren't actually in their friend's house but were outside by the car when someone jumped into it and stole it. If that was the case, I think they would have mentioned that.

A "buy 5 rocks get 1 free" crack rock sale is not a good reason IMO. ;-7 :-b
