10/17/07 11:35 AM THE NEWS Roy Williams spent Tuesday moonlighting on his full-time employer. While the rest of his teammates enjoyed an off day, Williams went to work for Pizza Hut as a delivery man to make up for failing to tip drivers who delivered his food, according to the Detroit Free Press. Our View If nothing else, it's good to see that Roy did his best to appease the karma gods.
Per Fanball. Hilarious. Makes me wish I owned him.

Roy Williams is one of my favorite players right now. Sucks he has to play for craptastic Detroit and never really get into any big games on any big stages. When was the last time Detroit played a Monday night game? EDIT: Looked it up, 2001 season, Monday Oct 8th, 35-0 loss to the Rams.
I have him in my money league and a dynasty league an I always root for him to do great.
He should have tried to get in contact with those drivers that he failed to tip and give them a generous tip. It's great that he went to work as a driver and all for a day, but that doesn't really help the guys who got stiffed.

Last year or the year before we played a preseason MNF game against the Rams but the result was pretty much the same.

He donated all his tips to a charity that Pizza Hut delivery people picked out. Pizza Hut organized the whole thing, after they read about him never tipping the pizza guy. Guess they thought it a good local marketing gimmick.
Yeah, the quote that got him in trouble was that he never tips a pizza guy...they know when they deliver to his house they're not getting anything. But even better - when he takes a girl out, he takes them to "someplace nice, like Red Lobster." LOL...that's frickin' hilarious.
I don't know that non-Detroit people would understand this, but does anybody find it interesting that the pizza place in question wasn't Little Caesar's?
Mike Ilitch, the businessman who owns the Red Wings and Tigers and more or less Detroit in general, is the founder of Little Caesar's. The Fords, of course, own the Lions.
