Agreed. Finding these earth-like planets is just the tip of the iceberg. Unfortunately, we may not discover intelligent or unintelligent extraterrestrial life during our lifetimes, but I think we will in time.
The only way to ensure the survival of the human race is by leaving Earth. The question is will we live long enough to develop the technology required to accomplish such a feat?
