I was surprised that LSU was number one on 8 of 9 ballots. I think thats where they should be, but surprised everyone else felt that way as well.

UF was ranked a bit high by Bagel and Joe IMO

CAL's ranking I think depended on how people felt they were IF Longshore is healthy

I think most people fell last week was just a hiccup for LSU, they are still the best team in college football this year.

Kent moon? You kook. :-b

And Boston college got a #1 vote? Thats odd. :-?

I like our rankings but I think Cal is way too high after their loss to Oregon State, also where the hell is USC? :-?

Fixed USC, my bad, missed it

Like I said, many people told me that the reason Cal is that high is b/c they think they are that good, if Longshore is in

I was the major outlier on Cal, I don't think they should have beaten Oregon and OSU is pretty bad loss with or without Longshore.

Honestly, so did I. They were one of those teams that I couldn't figure out what to do with, and I must've moved them around 10 times. Watching them all year if I had to make a blanket statement without knowing the state of the rest of the country there is no way I'd say they were the #6 team. But then I look at the teams I would be putting ahead of them and I just couldn't do it.

VT? They looked like they didn't even belong on the same field as LSU. There are blowouts and there are blowouts. LSU didn't just have a bunch of fluke plays, they were just flat-out that superior to VT and didn't look nearly as imposing against many of the other teams they've played. Kentucky? They're 7 point favorites on the road against Kentucky and I'm not that surprised about it. USC? Stanford and Arizona...nuff said on that front. I'm not going to go through them all but it's just a weird year. It's like everyone sucks. Ohio State? Every team in the top 25 would be undefeated with the schedule they've played so far, so I don't know why they're any higher than they were preseason because they certainly haven't looked good doing it. They haven't done a single thing thusfar that should make us think they're any better than we thought they were headed into the season.

Same thing with South Carolina (same as Florida that is). I've seen them quite a bit this year and thought they were way too inconsistent to be a top 5 team like everyone had them. But then I look around and who do I put in front of them? Everyone's inconsistent this year.

Yeah I struggled with that, I kept switching Oregon and South Carolina back and forth but in the end it was South Carolinas body of work that made me put them at #4. Playing three ranked teams(#11 Georgia-#2 LSU-#8 Kentucky)beating two of them and losing only to LSU, who most of us have ranked #1, to me is more impressive than what Oregon has done up to this point. Do I think Oregon is a better team than South Carolina? Yes, but I think SC is more deserving of the #4 ranking right now.

Thats what I thought when I saw how you two ranked them. It is such a down year as far as records go. I believe that if UF were on a neutral field against some of these teams they would run over them.
