Michael Crabtree, WR - Texas Tech

The true freshman is on pace for a ridiculous year, absolutely absord. Right now he has 88 Receptions, 1320 yards, and 17 TD's.

That means he's on pace for 132 receptions, 1980 yards, and 26 TD's... as a true freshman!

He's only had one game where he didn't have 100 yards (last week vs Mizzou) and he still had 10 receptions that week. He also has had at least 2 TD's in all but two games (A&M and Mizzou).

Anybody seen him play? Is he the real deal or just a product of the system? And even if he is just a product of the system, he'll still break every receiver record no problem as long as he stays healthy. The question is if he does it in 3 or 4 years.

Possible Records:
Most passes caught by a freshman - 98
Most passes caught - 142
Most yards gained - 2060
Most TD's caught - 27

he's a good player. and he's in a sexy system for a wr and qb. so it's a combination of both. he's no freak. he's just a better receiver than tech has had since leech took over.

Yep. Leech has been doing all that with what would be considered average receivers all this time. If he ever gets anything other than a bunch of really fast kids, that team could be scary.

Of course, they'd need a decent defense too. ;-)

He was a 4* so it isn't like he is just some scrub. TT is obviously a very WR friendly system but as a freshman he has been stellar when I have watched him.
It is hard to tell how his talent will translate to the NFL since so many WRs have been successful in the Texas Tech system.
