I can't believe the playcall there with the way they've been running it down our throats. They could've pretty easily run 3 times and gotten out of their endzone.
I hate that. How can there be a late hit WHEN THERE WAS NO WHISTLE????
I hate it. When there's a trick play and people stop on it because they think it's over they say play to the whistle, but then when they hit someone prior to the whistle it's a "dumb penalty".
They waited a good 3 seconds for the whistle and there wasn't one. After that long you have to go and tackle the guy because you have no idea if it's a trick or what the hell is going on. You don't punish the player for something even the refs didn't see. Garbage.
Ok really, we might be better off playing with 10 guys on defense and leaving Kyle Jackson off the field. At least that way we'd adjust to it and try and cover that area, instead of thinking we have the spot covered because there is a guy there who in reality may as well not be.
See, how is that not a flag for a late hit and that one on Florida was called earlier? That was 3+ seconds after the ball hit the turf and you can see that before slamming Caldwell to the ground the Georgia player actually looks over and sees the ball on the ground and the ref signaling incomplete. If anything that was more deliberate than the other.
