Lucky you but your dad's wrong.

I think he said it because my sister was able to drive one of the family cars whenever she wanted for the first three years she had her license and he thinks, to be fair, I should have the same opportunity.

Ah, I see. I think every kid should have to buy his/her own car. Makes it more valuable to them.

I agree with that. Although I have never owned a car, I just shared my Dad's old one with my brother, and than when that one broke down, my bro. bought his own. Than I just used my Mom's at night, cause she never did. So, I guess I beat the system especially because I was the DD a lot in high school, so I would get "gas" money from the buddies, when really I didn't pay for gas! I wonder where that money went.....
