Return to Commissioner's Corner

It seems I am not alone with this debacle, but I could really use some advice on how to fairly handle this situation.
Let me state first though that
ANY TEAM THAT QUITS MID-SEASON DESERVES A BEAT-DOWN!!!!!I had a manager absolutely disappear for no good reason. He won't even return phone calls or emails. Now the league is in a three-way split as to what to do with his team for the beginning and remainder of the season. This gets especially complicated because four managers play his team twice during the season. The fair solution completely alludes me.
Anyone have a solution?Originally our rules stated that anyone who didn't pay their dues by week 4 would have their top performer benched until they paid (hindsight says a bad idea). I could really use some expert advice here. Please help.Perhaps we should:
a) bench his whole squad for the year
b) bench his whole squad for weeks 5 through end
c) set his lineup each week by top projections
d) set his lineup each week by projection and bench his stud
d) hunt him down and beat him with a football cleat
Thanks in advance for your advice.Desperate commish.

In fairness to those that have already played him, you gotta go with C.

I would say D. You have a rule in the books so you have to use it. (Bench the top performer) You could then set his lineup by projection and look for a new owner to take over the team. You could start by giving the new owner a discount to get in. If it's mid season maybe a 50% discount. You should be able to get a new owner with that. You have to have these sorts of issues addressed in your rule book for next year. It has to be spelled out. Money must be paid up front.
