So as most of you GT regulars know a little over a year ago I had to leave my home and my girl in Eugene OR to come take care of my pops here in Stockton CA after my mom passed. It's been tough on my girl and I but we've made this long distance relationship crap work and actually got engaged this past year. She quit her job in Eugene before we went to Burning Man and then went to Europe a few weeks after we got back and was there for a month. She had been intending to move to Portland after her Europe trip but things have changed...she has decided to move here to Stockton to be with me, my dad and Ginger! No more of this long distance BS!!! :-)

Part of the reason she changed her mind was her job situation, the place where she was supposed to start working just didn't seem like it was going to pan out. There was some other personal drama going on with a few friends there that played a hand in her decision that I wont go into and of course the main reason is to be with me. Why? I dunno. :-b

I know shes a little disappointed, she really wanted to move to Portland but she also is really excited about living together again. It's also a good opportunity for her in that she doesn't have to pay rent here or really any bills so if/when she finds a job here all the money she makes can be saved.

Last week I went to Eugene to pick up my Impala and loaded a U-Haul with some of our things and we drove back here to Stockton. I got my car in the shop yesterday and we have been rearranging the house to Accommodate her. She's flying back to Eugene on Saturday to finish packing and get our house all wrapped up, I'll be heading back there after Thanksgiving to help for a few days. Hopefully if all works out as planned she'll be here on the 15th of December for good just in time to spend Christmas with me and pops. YAY! ;-D

Anyway I haven't been this happy in a long time and just wanted to share that with you guys. B-)
