At the time, I would agree with you, but after thinking about it, would you have rather been up 8 with 2:30 left or 4 with 40 seconds left? We already witnessed against the Bears that offenses can score with little time against the Eagles defense. I agreed with the call because at least there was no chance of losing the game.
