So what do you think of the new pass-first strategy?
I liked the effeciency and I liked how it opened up the run. :-°

Thoughts?

Morris was a stud, 4 yards everytime!!!......ok 3.1, but you get my point

plus he fits 10x better in that offense than alexander because we can use him in the passing game as split him out as a WR, kinda like Philly where they throw 75% of the time and split westbrook out and use him as wr outside and in the backfield.

alexanders days may be numbered.

With the money his is owed, I don't think we can release him or trade him. :-[

thats what i thought too, but cant we trade him w/contact? i know we wouldnt get much but there is always a team that thinks they can turn coal to gold in their system.

If we did cut him, how much would we be penalized?

Who knows...

Maybe a pass-first offence with a healthy Alexander splitting carries with Morris would still work out for a run into the playoffs.

" Playoffs??? "

I'm going to say it: Alexander sucks now. I'm sorry but it's true. I heard someone say, "He's the only running back in the NFL that can't make people miss." He doesn't have breakaway speed either. Never was a good receiver.Doesn't run over tacklers. What is he good for? It's time to trade him. Sure, there have been so many issues, namely bad blocking and the retirement of Mack Strong. Still, it's clear to me Shaun has no future here.

Exactly, and as we saw the other night, the main run that worked best for us is the DRAW, which doesnt require a fullback(which alexander has to have) and requires very elusive and quick speed(alexander does not have anymore) which Morris has to make that draw play work.

SF is bad, so we will see this week against a much better D how good Morris actually does, to see if it was a 1 week fluke or if he really does fit this new system for us.

I agree w/ NFL Fan???

Our "pass first" offense came into effect right as Alexander has been "out".

Let's see how he can benefit from getting his time in the scheme as well. I just wonder how well he can participate considering he can't "catch first" with his broken hand.

That'd tip the defense that when he's in, we're probably running... who knows. I'm no defensive coordinator like my status bar indicates , i'm just a hack of a fan... ;-D
