They could still make it as maybe a BCS at-large bid. Or are there any at-large bids anymore? I'm not completely up to par with the new bowl system; all I know is there are 5 BCS bowls and one is the National Championship.

The winner of the Pac-10 and the winner of the Big-10 meet in the Rose bowl, the #2 Pac-10 team meets the #3 Big-12 in the Holiday Bowl and after that...well I really don't wanna think about the Sun Bowl. If Oregon would have won out and played in the NC game Arizona State(or whoever comes in 2nd)would have slid up into the Rose Bowl. With Oregon taking their their 2nd loss Arizona State moves into first place with USC and Arizona left on their schedule. If Oregon wins out and either USC or Arizona beats ASU then the Ducks would be in a three way tie with ASU and USC and have the tie breaker over both giving them the Rose Bowl.

This breaks down the Bowl Games pretty good.
