More like SF's passing game sucks so bad everyone focuses 100% on gore. He's good, but he has been playing hurt with everyone zoning in on him.

yeah this is the case man. Have you ever watched a 49ers game. They are TERRIBLE. Gore is good but you cant do much if they know that you are the only person on the team that can hurt them. Okay linebackers you follow Gore. Game over.

I'm not saying that all of it is Gore, all I'm saying is you can't say that he is still the same player, some of it HAS to be on him. Last year they had the same squad - at the beginning of the year no one knew how dominate Gore was going to be so defenses didn't key on him, but you can't tell me after a huge first 6 games that defenses weren't trying to pick him out last year. This is the same squad as last year- granted they've had a few injuries on the O-Line you can still have a dominant running game without having a dominate passing game. Look at the Vikings and Jacksonville this year. I wouldn't call Tavaris Jackson and Quinn Gray any better than Dilfer and Smith (i.e. they all suck) and they have managed strong running attacks all year. Let's not be so quick to put it all on SF coach, quarterback, O-Line etc. etc. Gore isn't getting the job done...period. Elite running backs find a way no matter what, thats what makes them elite.

I have watched every 49er game this year and there are multiple reasons Gore has played so poorly.First of all , he is hurt. Obviously an ankle injury is bad news for a RB. He limps off to the sidelines about 4-5 times a game. If Nolan was smart, he would sit Gore for a week or two.

Also, the QB and WR play is killing him. Teams know the Niners are no threat to throw downfield. Plus, any corner in the NFL can cover D JAX and Battle man to man. The safety can just stay in the box and stop the run. When you have more guys in the box than blockers, it is obvious the RB will not have a chance.

thanks to Franchise Fan for the sig!!!!!
