Feh. This is another reason I prefer PC's to consoles. With PC's modders can make fan-created maps for free, and download them for free. Much harder to do on a console, so the developers can get away with charging for additional content.

yeah...that would be cool if people could create their own maps and such. are people on the pc version doing this, or it just something that is possible to do?

as is though, i dont mind shelling out the ten bones for some new maps. ive played the game enough now that these ones are running their course and something new will breathe some fresh air back into the game.

at least they arent as bad as the developers of guitar hero, who charge 500 points for 3 song downloads. 8-o

Guitar Hero is ridiculous...all the downloads are overpriced. Stupid Microsoft and their demand for more money!

$10 / 40 hours+ of great gameplay = $.25 per hour

There are some PC mod maps out, I've played some of them. They just aren't as polished as something infinity ward would release. I think they need to be very polished to keep replay value for this genre.

I would LOVE some Aliens or Zombie mods (give those players no guns, but 3x-5x health)... how insane would that be?

That's why I make my own guitar hero songs. For free! Check out http://www.scorehero.com if you want to play nearly any song ever made. It's a bit of a pain, but there's nothing like playing your favorite songs on guitar hero. Gotta have a modded PS2 and the patience to read through the tutorial but once you get it figured out it's easy.
