TieBreaker

Hi All,

I am not a commissioner but seeking the answer to a rule. I am in a yahoo $ league. Week 13 is the last game of regular season. In the settings there is no rule on tie breakers.

Looks like it's going to be a 3 way tie for 2nd, I have the lowest point total but have beat the other 2 teams head to head. How are tie breakers broken?

If it's head to head I'm in good shape if it's points I'm toast.

Really surprised it's not in the rules. On ESPN standard leagues it clearly states points for as the tiebreaker. Better get clarification from your commish.

I always use head-to-head as the first tiebreaker and then division record if applicable, and then most points scored. There are others that always go Total Points Scored because it cuts down on other factors and eliminates any questioning. I've learned over the years to make sure I know up front, well before playoff time how the tiebreakers are decided.

I don't think you can change that in a yahoo head to head custom league. I'm a commish in 2 and don't remember being able to do that. The tie breaker should be the points, you should already be sitting in order by points if you have the same record. Highest to lowest. Goodluck.
