Waiver Question

What is everyone's thought on teams that have no chance making the playoffs picking up free agents for week 13? Granted, they can play spolier so I see no problem with it. Others are questioning whether it should be happening. I'm not the commish in this league, but I do like to hear other opinions.

Shouldn't matter, they can still be active, though I'd lock them out if they do it during the playoffs, but as long as they still have a game to play they have as much right to them as anybody else. Sounds like the others are just upset because they didn't get them first.

Of course they should be able to use the WW. I would NEVER EVER deter an owner from wanting to be active unless it is obvious rule violation(roster-dumping or collusion). In our league, the bottom teams are playing for the first pick next year to encourage active team management.

I agree with the previous posters. Keeping everyone as active and involved as possible is good for the league in the long run.

Some teams need that eliminated team to win this week for their own playoff hopes.

All teams should be able to use waivers until the regular season is over.

Of course they should have free reign on all normal actions. I have a guy in my league, however, who's out of the playoffs, but he's picking up QBs left and right trying to screw people. I told him as long as he doesn't drop a "big name" I'm kosher with his hijinx, but I look down on it.
