Fantasy Defense of the Week

Postby DraftDodger » Fri Nov 30, 2007 2:53 pm

I don't care what the match-up numbers look like. Give me a home team defense that's highly motivated to win, and for that we don't have to look any further than the

WASHINGTON REDSKINS.

They'll be wearing Sean Taylor's number on their jerseys to remind them every play what the game is about.

No way! There are too many issues in the skins way:

Loosing such a talent
Short Week
Miss a day in a short week to attend a funeral

they will play with emotion, but that does not mean Squat

The Redskins are going to the funeral next week, which is why there's speculation that week 14's Thursday Night game vs Chicago might be moved to later in the week.

I do agree with the analysts who say that the emotional factor might easily be a downer though, since I doubt that all the Redskins players will be able to convert tragedy into motivation, especially for 4 quarters.
The cake is a lie.

Taylor has been hurt anyway, so they're not loosing him really for this week since he's been out. Also, the funeral isn't until Monday. It could go either way, but they have some things going for them as well, like being at home vs. Buffalo. I wouldn't call them the "D of the week", but you could do worse.

The Bears will be relying on Grossman and the other Adrian Peterson. Peterson should be a step up from Benson so it comes down to whether Grossman is good Grossman or bad Grossman this week. Good Grossman scores 24+ points. Bad Grossman throws three INTs.
Go Bears!

I'll wear the paper bag if they aren't a top 5 fantasy defense this week.

disappointing game for the skins.......portis had a 2.0 ypc, they couldn't do anything after jumping to a quick lead, and they let buffalo with their 3rd rb come back and win the game....

get that paper bag!
