most schools in the twin cities didn't have school today or were at least delayed... crazy... freezing rain on SAT followed by -10 degree weather and a snow storm on SUN makes for slick roads

I spun out at an intersection today. Couldn't have been going more than 8 MPH but still did a near 360 when I tapped the brakes. Roads are brutal. I hope they're clearer on the way home.
Man, I thought I was going to get out of the cold and ice this weekend by traveling to Seattle (to celebrate Christmas with the wife's family), and it's just as ridiculous here! Under 25 degrees and icy as all get out - can't even make it out of the parking lot without a Herculean effort
IF YOU DON'T KNOW HOW TO DRIVE ON THE ICE, STAY OFF UNTIL IT CLEARS SO THE REST OF US DON'T HAVE TO WAIT TWO HOURS BEHIND YOUR SORRY *** WHILE THEY CLEAR YOUR JACK-KNIFED TRUCK OFF THE ROAD!!!
(there... I feel much better now).
Yo, Met... thanks for the sig! GO DUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have a 40 mile commute, has been raining all night and day, now suppose to freeze as temps are falling fast. Can't wait for the ride home...should be able to leave early though

Well we had a snow day today, or well more of an ice day, really slick roads. I went up to our batting cages and when I tried to turn into my parking spot, I just kept sliding forward, there was no turning to be done. That was a mess. We're all hoping for a second day off, but it's looking pretty unlikely at this point. rats.
