the high for today is -5 real temp. we haven't been above zero in 3 days. but whatever, it happens here. it was -20 yesterday and I had a tshirt, sweatpants, and sandals on when I ran my errands just because people complaining about the cold annoy me. It's much cooler to show it doesn't bug you. Then they all look and stare. I was wearing an "Ely, Minnesota" shirt so that some of them might just nod their heads knowingly. In Ely, I have fond memories of building snowforts in 40,50, even 60 below.
Honestly, I'm sure Raff will agree ... -5 or -30 ... you just really don't notice the difference IMO... when it's that cold it's just biting... wind is where you notice it.
People were having fun wetting a tshirt and having it be completely frozen in just a couple minutes and hitting stuff with their frozen shirt...
It's currently -22 real temp (almost -50 with wind chill)

Yeah, I hate when people complain about the cold here too. I rarely wear a jacket and people always look at me funny when it gets cold. They have a huge winter jacket, scarf, hat, while I just have on a shirt walking into work. It's not like I'm outside for hours, so what is the need to get all bundled up for. It is currently -2 here, I wore just a light spring coat, but probably didn't need it.
Omg omg omg!!! So, I'm pretty much a huge nerd when it comes to the weather and snow. During the winter, I like to look at the weather models to track upcoming snowstorms. So, this year in Philly, we have gotten crap and more crap. I think we have a total of about 2 inches on the year so far. Anyway, a great model just came out that shows Philly with around 6 to 12 inches or so Tuesday and Wednesday!!!! I really don't want to get my hopes up, with the storm being far away, but I just can't help it. I really hope this comes true!
we got like an inch or so this morning, kinda lame, but we've gotten like no snow this year, so...eh. plus tomorrow evening we're supposed to get some sort of ice thing and maybe I'll miss a day of school.
that system moved over Indy a couple hours ago. Snowing pretty slowly, can still see grass in the lawns. I'm not planning to go anywhere today so it's nice to stay inside and watch the snow fall and not deal with the roads. Tomorrow morning, not so much.
Just over the river from FBG13...about the same thing maybe a little better than an inch. Problem is the litle SLK-280 is not a slick road vehicle. Anyway, calling for winter storm warning tonight, 3 - 6 inches tonight with a mix of snow and sleet all day tomorrow...no school and probably no work!
I don't think we've even gotten an inch here in DC yet this winter. Stupid global warming...
But the big system that's gonna hit the east coast is supposed to give us 3 or 4 inches, which is more than enough to cancel school here. Everyone down here freaks out way too much about snow.
Kudos to Leber for the amazing sig and to Metroid for the userbar and making them both fit 2008 and 2009 Defunct Dynasty League Champion
