been geeting sleet for three hours. This is just the warm up apparently. The weather front is supposed to come up from the gulf states where it's gobbling up moisture (that's what she said), to dump it on us Tuesday night through Wednesday.

We are getting ready for 12-15 inches of snow overnight tonight. Hopefully I'll make it home from work before things start getting bad.

I could - and very well might - go skating in the cul de sac today. and the heavy ice isn't supposed to hit till later today/tonight. 1-3" of additional ice by 9pm tonight. I hope the power stays on. I have gas heat, but the fan that pushes it is electric.

ya we're working on our 1/2"-3/4" of ice now and our foot of snow is just about to start... right after the last foot of snow we got barely had a chance to melt away.

It looks like we're only going to get sideswiped by this thing. Initially they were projecting 5-10 inches, but now it looks like we're just getting the fringe of the storm and we won't have much more than 3-5. And we're the lucky ones.

They missed our forecast by a mile, were supposed to get an inch of ice and a foot of snow, got about 6 inches of sleet/snow.

Same with ours - we were suppose to get 10-15 inches. There was a lot of blowing snow, but overall probably 6 inches tops.

The roads, to the sidewalks to the lawns, just a slab of ice.

Just got stuck in the ruts the mailman left yesterday in the cul de sac. Took an hour and a half, the help of a friendly neighbor, and a trip to wal-mart for a tow strap to yank my car out. I'm pissed.

Gave the tow strap to the neighbor seeing as he's the one who has helped four of us now get unstuck in the cul de sac. I was on a trip to the LQ for a bottle of grey goose, he alluded he likes stoli vanilla. I think a thank-you bottle might just be in his future.

... And now we're getting more snow. Just what we need. I guess the snow will actually help for traction on the ice. Winter.
