Living in upstate NY, I've finally learned what REAL snow is all about. We must have had about 28 inches since DEC. I haven't seen my lawn in over 1 month.

Thus, my new rule for the North Country is - if there is something you will need, don't leave it in the yard in the winter or else you won't see it again until the spring.
